Ouden — Privacy Policy

Ouden is a screen-recording and video-smoothing app for iPhone. We designed it to keep your data on your device. Ouden does not operate a server that stores your recordings or account data.

What we collect

• Account identity (optional). If you choose Sign in with Apple or Sign in with Google, the name and email those services return are stored only on your device (in the iOS Keychain) to label your account and protect your purchases. They are not transmitted to an Ouden server.
• Purchases. Subscriptions and the lifetime unlock are processed by Apple through the App Store (StoreKit). Ouden never receives your card or payment details.
• No analytics or tracking. Ouden contains no third-party analytics, advertising, or tracking SDKs, and does not use the advertising identifier.

Recordings, imports and exports

Screen recordings and videos you import stay on your device. When you tap Save to Photos they are written to your own photo library; when you tap Share they go to the destination you choose. Ouden never uploads your media.

Device permissions

• Microphone — only when you turn on the mic for a recording.
• Add to Photos — to save the videos you export.
• Importing a video uses the system photo/file pickers, which do not require library access.

Data sharing & sale

We do not sell your personal data and we do not share it with third parties for advertising. Apple and Google process the sign-in and purchase flows under their own privacy policies.

Data retention & deletion

Account identity is kept on your device until you sign out or delete your account in the app, or delete the app. Media is kept until you delete it.

Children

Ouden is rated 4+ and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children.
